Determining monitoring methods: For each failure mode of the brake system, monitoring methods are determined. Failure modes of the brake system can include brake fluid leakage, reduced braking power, and malfunction of the braking mechanism. Monitoring methods can include the use of sensors that detect the wear of brake pads to monitor the condition of the vehicle, or inspection of brake pads to detect malfunctions.

Establishing a monitoring plan: A plan for monitoring failure modes is established. For example, for the failure mode of brake fluid leakage, a plan can be established to regularly check for brake fluid leaks to monitor the system's condition.



Establishing a system response plan: A system response plan is established for responding to failure modes when they are detected. For example, if reduced braking power is detected, a system response plan can include stopping the vehicle and repairing or replacing the braking mechanism.

Executing monitoring and system response: Failure modes are monitored according to the monitoring plan, and appropriate responses are taken when failure modes occur according to the system response plan. For example, if brake fluid leakage is detected, the cause of the leakage is identified, and appropriate responses, such as replenishing brake fluid, are taken. Through early detection and response to failure modes, the reliability and safety of the vehicle can be improved.
